Battle of the Books

SIX MONTHS. TWELVE BOOKS. ONE FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. 

Get ready for the Battle of the Books, part book-club and part team-competition for all Alden students! Each team collectively reads a total of twelve books over a six-month period. Students can listen to audio versions of the books, read with family members or read on their own. Books are available at the Alden School Library and Duxbury Free Library. Each team decides their strategy to read all 12 books. In the spring, grade-level teams compete in a "Final Battle," showcasing their knowledge of what they've read. All students of all reading levels are encouraged to participate in this fun, team-building experience! 

Registration for the 2024-2025 season will open Monday September 16th - Friday September 20th.
